Question
My hamster has a tumor on her neck. The tumor hasn't grown at all and its been on her for several weeks. It is blocking her arms for her to pick the food up, but she is still eating very well. She is still very active when I take her out.Nothing has changed in her behavior except that she has a lump on her neck.Does this sound like a fatty or cancerous tumor.

Answer
Hi Travis,

have you asked your local vet about this? If she seems to be acting normally, I wouldn't worry too much. If the tumor is internal it will be harder to treat. If it is external you can  get it surgically removed and everything will work out great. Cancerous tumors are very hard and increase in size very quickly so I'm thinking it is most likely just a fatty tumor. I would definitely call your local vet to get some more information. I hope everything works out for you. GOOD LUCK!

Regards,
Sam
