pregnant robo hamster???

hi, my name is bethany. my friend gave my two dwarf hamsters about 2 weeks ago. in an unfortunate event, my dog got ahold of them and one died. i was told they were both boys, so i went out and bought a boy hamster. i saw the two on the wheel and the boy was on its make and the girl was on top. it didnt look like a 'game' or 'fighting', it looked like mating. i have never seen hamsters mate before so im not sure what they do. when i found out they were oppisite sex, my dad made me take the boy back. i only made the two hamsters together for three days. it seems though that my female is getting fatter and she it always burrowing beneath her shavings. not much out of the usual exept the burrowing.. what do you think? is she pregnant? please email me because i wont know how to get back to the spot to read your response. my email is bethgirl001@sbcglobal.net  and please help soon!

Do you know that you definately have a female??

You need to find out for sure if the hamster you have is a female.

The scene you described sounds like they were either fighting or trying to get to know each other by testing each others scents.  Hamsters do not mate like that.

If you do have a female and the other one was definatley a male then there is a chance she could be pregnant but the only way of finding out is to see if any babies have appeared in 22 days.
