Dwarf babies

Question
My dwarf hamster had babies today! I didn't even know she was pregnant; I got her two weeks ago. She had three babies and seems to be taking care of them okay. What do I do know? I know you're not supposed to disturb them for at least a week or more, but what else? I can't move the water bottle any lower because I have a wire cage with a plastic "litter guard" at the bottom. Food? Water? Help!!

Answer
Your correct about the no disturbing, your definatly on the right track to a happy hamster family. You can change the food and water as normal, just make sure to be extra careful about it, and don't do it more then nessisary. The water should be fine where it is, so I wouldnt worry about it, or you can choose to find one with a longer spout. Mother hamsters need all the vitamins they can get, so make sure she always has plenty of water and food, and just generaly leave the cage alone. If the cage is in a busy area, move it to a quieter place, believe me, it can make all the difference. Hope I've helped!
