hampster help

Question
My friend's hamster is 2 years old and she said she has some sort of bubble on her paw. She said it looked kinda like a motorcycle burn where it was puffy and swollen. I told her that it may just be a blister. but would you by any chance know?

Hi Krista,

    Hamsters feet go through quite a bit. It is probably a blister. The area should be kept an eye on for infection (redness, swelling and/or pus) when the blister breaks. If infection should occur, wash the area with an anti-bacterial soap and warm water, then apply a very small amount of an antibiotic ointment like neosporin, once a day.
