Question
Hello, thank you for taking time to read this, I have 2 gerbils, both mail, sandy brown colour, if that matters :)
I have one whos very poofy and one thats like a regular gerbil, but my poofy gerbil has his right ear bleeding,
its bleeding excessivly at least 2 times a day, maybe 4,
but i checked when it was dry and there is no sign of scratching or a splinter, it is something inside his ear, if you have knowledge please say so, if not, thanks anyways :)

Answer
Hi Tyler

Sorry to hear your gerbil's not very well.  I honestly don't know what is causing this bleeding. From what you've said, the bleeding is actually coming from inside the ear, rather from an injury.  If this is the case, you really need to get him to a vet.

If you clean gently clean up his ear - can you see any sore area just inside his ear?  Sometimes they get ear mites, which are itchy and can cause bleeding, but the bleeding would come from your gerbil scratching himself.

Any bleeding that comes from the ear must be investigated and correctly diagnosed.

Sorry I can't be more help.  Good luck with his - please let me know how you get on.
