Buying a dwarf hamster

I'm thirteen and I want to buy a dwarf hamster. Do dwarf hamsters bite often? Do you think a dwarf hamster would be suitable for me? Are there certain cages you have to get for a dwarf hamster?

thanks for the question and sorry i couldn't answer sooner. dwarf hamsters only bite when threatened or scared, babies bite in play. another reason for hamster biting is that their teeth might be getting too long. rodents teeth never stop growing so they constantly need to gnaw on something. i suggest strongly to get a dwarf hamster if you are getting a hamster for the first time. for cages, i suggest bared cages.
