Hamster handling

Dear Jasmine,
I've got to ask you about taming my hamster she's new to my house and bites on my fingers while I hold her she also never lets me pick her up and due to this i'm having trouble taking her out before cleaning her cage. She also seems fatter than when i first got her .Is she pregnant?.

Dear Sachin,
If your hamster is biting and is getting fat then maybe she is pregnant and protecting her babies or she's shy and you feed her too often, but below is some tips into taming your hamster:


1. Put on thick gloves and play with your hamster in a tub.( Only if she's not pregnant.)
2. Sometimes put your hand outside the cage and let her sniff you.
3. Give your hamster one teaspoon of food daily.
