Syrian Hamster Noises

My syrian hamster, Chocolate, has been making short 'eh' sounds multiple times in a row. I just got her a few days ago. Is this normal?

Hi,
She may have a cough or some sort of chest infection. Although this is, in humans, not very serious, for hamsters, if left untreated, in can prove fatal. You should take her to a vet as soon as possible, as it may be more serious than you think. Until then, give her plenty bedding, food and, most importantly, fresh water. Keep her cage clean and away from drafts and other extremes of temperature, and sources of loud noise. Make sure her cage does not become to cold.
