New Baby Gerbils!!!!

My gerbils just had five babies or as I have been told they're called "pinkies" one of them I think is a runt because it is really small and keeps wandering away from the rest of the babies, I'm sort of worried because my mom and i moved back to the pile and it was cold as ice, we had to move it back like five times!!! I'm concerned what should i do? Also another question i have is how long do the babies eyes stay shut and how long until they can be given to my friends and my local pet store?

the best thing to do right now is nothing. mom will take the pup back to her nest and if she doesn't it may be because she thinks the gerbil pup is too weak. At 15-17 days the pups eyes will open. if the mother is comfortable with you, you can handle the babies in a few days but if you are worried the mother will eat the babies if you touch them wait until they are about 10 days old to handle them. at 4 weeks you can give them away to friends, but it is best to wait 6 weeks to give them away because they will be able to handle the transition from mother to new home better.
