Russian hamsters white eye!

Hi, My hamster is now just over 2 years - I understand that is fairly old for a hamster. I have noticed that he (Robbie)has in the last few months had white appear in the black bit of his eye - he does not seem to be in any discomfort or pain. Is this his age and him going blind in one eye? or infection?

It sounds like he may have scratched himself in the eye or he may be getting an eye infection. If you can take him to a vet it would be the best thing to do. Maybe the vet could give you antibiotics to help clear up the infection. Good luck with everything.
