Whats wrong with his eye?

My hamster's left eye seems to be coming out of it's socket yesterday...when I tried to feed him this morning, his eye seems to be worst. My previous hamster died not long after his eye swell like the present hamster. Before this, he had small rashes look alike wounds all over his body. What is possibly wrong with my hamster? My hammy lives alone in one cage. There's no other hamster which could have done this to him.

I am sorry to hear of your previous hamster. I hope the same does not become of your existing one.

I would blame bedding material for this, as some easily get wrapped round their legs, or, as in your case, damage their eyes. Buy a new type of paper shred bedding and discard your current one and take him to a vet as quickly as possible.
There may be lasting damage to the eye, but hopefully the vet will be able to prevent this. Thankfully, hamsters do not rely on their sight much, but their sense of smell, so he will live even if the worst comes to the worst and he loses his eye.

Make sure he has plenty fresh water and food, as well as plenty toys to keep him stimulated.
