bedding again

sorry this might be the last question for now, but i looked through the already answered questions and it really says nothing on toilet paper nonscented. so i put some cloth down on the bottom of the cage then i tore up some toilet paper and then put it on top of the cloth. will this be ok. and is it breathable enough cause i didn't put a lot in there.thanks for your time its greatly appreciated

Hi Kortney,

I would avoid using any sort of fabric because the hamster may chew on it and either accidentally swallow it or have it become impacted in her cheek pouches.

Unscented toilet paper, on the other hand, is great for hamsters.  It makes nice, soft, safe bedding.  If you can spare some more toilet paper, remove the cloth and just fill the cage with unscented, unprinted toilet paper until you can get some Aspen or Carefresh bedding :)  After you fill the cage with regular bedding, feel free to continue giving your hamster some toilet paper for extra comfort and warmth.
