Weird behavior in hamster

Hello,
I have a 1 1/2 year old teddy bear hamster named Tag. He has lived through a lot, but has always remained a very healthy hammy. A few weeks ago, I noticed that he is making weird noises, kind of like he has hickups(not sure how to spell), he doesn't do this often, just one time a week at most. He is still very playful, and runs in his wheel a lot. He eats and drinks too. Can hamsters have hickups?

Yes hamsters can have the hickups. As long as he is still playful, exercising, eating and drinking well there is really nothing to worry about. At a year and a half old, I would say that you are doing a great job on caring for your hamster. Keep up the great work!
