Question
ok i use cedar bedding and i heard it is really bad for hamsters it it ok to use dryer lint because it looks like a dood bedding and we cant afford to buy aspen or carefreash bedding
thank you

Answer
Dryer lint is not safe, and the lint stuff they sell at pet stores isnt safe either. It contains fibers that can be very small and wrap around the hamster's limb and cause a loss of blood flow. Hamsters like to pack their cheeks with bedding material to transport it, and if your hamster injects the lint it could cause internal problems.
