tebby bear Hamster...possible stroke?

We have a hamster that is ajust over 1yr old. We noticed today that her right eye is closed and she seems to be having difficulty walking and climbing, very wobbly.

Is there anything that can be done?

It sounds as though your hamster may have an inner ear infection.

Inner ear infections are not uncommon in hamsters, and typical signs are loss of balance, walking in circles, and bobbing their head back and forth. A hamster may also close his/her eyes to try and regain their balance.

This is only one possibility as to what it may be, and I highly advise that you bring your hamster to a vet that is experienced with rodents, as only they can properly diagnose your hamster, and prescribe proper treatment.
