trapped hamster

any advice on how to free my son,s hamster who seems to escaped from his cage and has got himself stuck down a hole under my sink been down there for a day now have tried danglig food from a piece of string down and he will eat the food but can,t or won,t climb up. arm wont fit down hole too small and it,s about 2 ft deep. also tried plastic tubing with holes in it for grip.regards julie

short of ripping apart the area he's in to free him, try using anything the hamster can climb up on it's own. Since I dont know the specifics of the hole, I can't really guide you. If it comes down to it, you'll have to manualy widen the hole, or attempt to just pull the hamster from the hole.
