Question -
i have 2 female syrian hamsters and one male. i have heard that they go into the heat cycle every 4 days. neither of the 2 females hae been in their heat cycle for 10 days at the least. (they have both been with the male) is there something wrong or are they both pregnant?

Answer -
they either both could be pregnant or they do not care for the male. It takes about a month for them to give birth. yes they do go into a heat cycle like every four days. how long do you leave each one in with the male? most people will leave a male and a female together right up until they give birth. do you put both females in there with the male? It's better to just put a paid togehter.

Answer
I would seperate your two females. They will need their own cage while giving birth because hamsters are cannibals and they may try to eat each other's babies. It does sound like one of them may be pregnant. you just need to be patient and see. Trust me if you keep breeding them you will eventually have pups. Hamsters breed like there's no tomorrow. when you want to breed them you may want to try to keep the male with the female for about two weeks that way you can be sure she is pregnant.
