He may have ate rat poison

Hi,
  Last night my hamster got lost, but my mom found him and brought him back to me. This morning when I was cleaning his cage, I found chunks of rat poison that he must have picked up, somewhere around the house. I'm not sure if he ate it, but it's evident that he much have carried in his cheek pockets to bring back to that cage. He isn't showing any signs of illness. What should I look for? What should I do? Will he be alright?

i'm not sure of the affect rat poison has on hamsters but i am sure that if he has eaten any then it wont be very good for him at all!

I think you should ring the vet and ask if there is anything to look out for or if there is anything he can do for your hamster.
