Gerbil & Hamster Relationship

Hello, I just got a new gerbil, and I already have a hamster. The hamster is a
male and the gerbal is also a male. They don't really seem to be getting along
real well. Every time I put them together, they either bite eachother, or the
gerbil ( not the hamster) takles another and then bites. I have really no idea
how to make them get along! Please! I am lost! I really want to make them get
along. Is there any possible way to make them get along? I have already put
their cages next to eachother. Now they can see through and look at
eachother. But now I need to make them get along! Please! Tell me a way!

Hi Brianna,

No matter what you do, they will not get along. They are 2 different species of rodent. Hamsters especially, do not like the company of other hamsters, let alone a gerbil. I'm sorry but these pets should not be put together at all.
