Question
We wanted to mate our recently purchased male and female dwarf hamsters. (They were purchased separately)They would always fight and bite each other, so we would split them up. One night, I believe we were successful. The female has grown big and is very tired. This was 2 weeks ago.It says to have the male help the female, but my male would bite them all-will the female get over-stressed if she has to do everything alone?

Answer
yes, the female can get over stressed with the male attacking her constantly. it's best to just remove him from the cage and allow her to just do everything on her own. it will not stress her out if she has to build the nest by herself or do anything by herself. the female generally raises the babies by herself anyways. the male can also eat the babies and so it's best to keep him seperate from her anyways. Good luck with everything.
