Question
on may 24th i woke up and i saw some baby hamsters under my big hamster cookie what should i do to take care of them

Answer
hi martina,

first of all you MUST NOT touch the babies, the nest or the mother, leave them completely alone for 2-3 weeks. after this time you will need to take them somewhere to be sexed, either to a pet store or a vet, you will need to seperate the males from the females (you are going to need 2 more cages) or they could start breeding with each other and you will have went from having 1 hamster to 20 in a matter of a few months. once you have seperated them, look after them for a further 3-4 weeks, feeding, watering and cleaning them out, and when they are 6-8 weeks old you can start re-homing them, either to a pet store, an animal sanctuary or to people who you KNOW will look after well.

Best of luck and if there is anything else, please ask. thank you for your question.
