How much would a hamster cost?

Hi Cassandra,

It kind of depends on your area.  I paid less than $10 for my Syrian hamsters (in Alabama).  (Dwarf hamsters may cost a couple dollars more.)

Of course, it's not really the hamster that costs anything - it's the cage, food, and bedding.  A good cage can be around $20-$30.  Hamster food is just a few dollars.  Same with bedding - it's just a few dollars (for Aspen and Carefresh).
