Inactive gerbil

I have a gerbil, she is almost two years old. She seemed to be fine a few days ago but for the past couple of days her face has been swollen, she is sleeping all the time. She tries to walk but walks a few steps and falls over to the side. I have fed her some bread, iceberg lettuce and spring mix in the past couple of days. Please help!!

Hello, wow there are a few possible things that could be wrong with your gerbil. I think your gerbil may have an infection in their mouth and also she may have an ear infection since she is having a really hard time trying to keep her balance. I would really take your gerbil to a vet as soon as possible for medical attention. Good luck and keep me posted
