First Time Having Dwarf Hamsters

Question
Hi, My name is Arden and this is my first time having Dwarf Hamsters and i have a couple questions. I ask someone previously how to sex a hamster and my father found a web page online that answered our question. I have a 7 month old male and female, the female is Eclypse and the male is Anthrax. I recently had my Syrian hamster (Tequi) pass on so i thought that since every one was so attached to Tequi, that we would have 2 more members of the family. I did my research on hamsters, but it all was general. Here are my questions:

1. How different/what changes do Russian Dwarf Hamsters have in their diet compared to long haired Syrians?

2. One has red eyes and cream colored fur (Anthrax) and the other (Eclypse) has darker fur and black eyes. Are they the same breede or are they differnt? (they are fully grown and they are indeed, the mature length of a dwarf hamster, im wondering if one is chinese and the other is russian)

3. If Eclypse has already had one litter of pups (they are still at the pet store, I had no control over that, they looked about 2 weeks old), how long would it be until she is in heat again, and did taking her away from her pups kill them or hurt them in any way?

4.I dont want pups of their own (i do not have the resources at the moment), and i do not have money to get them fixed, is the only way to seperate them? If so, will they get lonley by themselves?

5. If I do have to seperate them, is it better to seperat the cages, or is it ok to have the cages side by side?

I kno that this has been a very long 5 questions, and i thank you for reading and replying :-D

Answer
Well, congrats Arden for choosing dwarf hamsters, they are my favorite. Here are answers for your questions.

1. Russain Dwarf hamsters or as i will call them dwarf hamsters have the same diet as the Syrian hamsters, except dwarf hamsters eat less than syrian. Dwarfs will eat preatty much anything you give them (food brands at pet stores.)

2.No, your hamsters are the same breed. The eye color does not mean anything besides they might be from a diffrent litter, so don't worry about that.

3. Dwarf hamsters come into heat every 4 days. When a female hamster is in hear, she will release someting that looks like yellow puss. That is how you know she iis in heat. DO NOT touch the pups until you know for sure they are two weeks old, or the mother hamster will kill them.

4. Yes, unfortunately the only way from getting a female hamster from being pregnant is to seperate her :( No, the hamsters will not get lonely by themselves, although I reccoment to keep them in same sex pairs. (By the way, you can't spray a hamster ;)

Yes it is ok to have the cages side by side!
Hope this helped!
