hamster dieing

my hamster is dyeing .....he has eye infection has puss coming out of his eyes,squirming and biting everybody .I think he will die today. He has also lost alot of weight in a short amount of time. He is drinking a very little amount of water and not hardly any food. I don't think there is anything I can do, but I wanted to check to be sure. He is also very cold feeling. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do.? Thank you. Kayla

Dear Kayla,
the only thing you could is to take your hamster to a vet, but considering that it's sunday I don't think any vet is open. You can try giving your hamster some gatorade through a dropper to help rehydrate your hamster or some pedialite to help as well. This is really all you can do. I don't know of any cure that you can do at home to make his eye infection go away. The only way to get him well is through a vet. Good luck and keep me posted
