Question
Hi it's Savneet, i have another problem, my hamster keeps biting the bars of her cage and i dont know why, i don't think she is bored and i have 3 different wood chews in the cage for her when i first put them in she really liked biting on one(the yellow one) and then she just stopped and she only bites the bars now, im afraid she'll break a tooth or something and she is really messing up the bars too they r all chipped up.

Answer
Hello again Savneet,

Here are a couple things you can try. Rub lemon juice on the bars (hamsters don't like the taste) or try bitter apple spray on the bars (which is for dogs, but it is safe for hamsters).
You could also try this, when she starts biting on the bars, take her out and play with her for a little bit or put her in a hamster ball.
Don't worry about her breaking a tooth. Hamsters chew on just about everything to keep their teeth filed down.
