Hamster Behavior

Question
Hey!
I'm brand new to this hamster thing-- having only had large, very vocal dogs in the past-- and am curious if my hamster's behavior is normal.

Instead of sleeping in his usual "hut", he now burrows himself in the corner of his aquarium so he's sleeping directly on the glass, yet covered in his bedding.  Is this normal?

Franco is not showing any signs of illness (and I've been OCD about watching him)...the only thing that has changed is where he sleeps.  Also, if it's any help...he's a robo dwarf that I got about 2 months ago.

Any feedback is much appreciated!
Thank you!

Answer
Dear Jackie,
thank you for your question and I apologise for the late reply.
Some hamsters don't like to sleep in a hut and some will change their sleeping place a lot. In the summer, many hamster will move to an outside sleeping place because they are hot.
It's also possible that the hut is too small, they like a lot of room so that they can store food in the hut, build a nest and maybe have a toilet corner all in one place. I don't know if you can get them outside Germany, but those are great, roomy hamster homes:

I hope I was of some help to you
