The lovely woman at the pet store told me i had purchased same sex hamsters.... Surprised yesterday morning with babies..... Everyone started freaking out saying the male would eat the babies... SO i put him in the lil apartment. But i feel so bad about it... I havent read anything on here that says that is true... can i let him out?

Answer

      If he you have syrian hamsters that is true, the male will eat the babies. If you have a dwarf hamster you can leave the male in the cage. He will help take care of the babies, but if he starts to eat them take him back out.
