Strange hamster behaviour

Hi,

I have a syrian hamster who is about two years old, this afternoon I've noticed her spending a lot of time in a corner she's cleared bedding out of and rapidly cleaning and scratching. She's been rolling on the floor a bit too. I checked and I can't see any sores or anything, and she was friendly as usual when I held her, she has plenty of food and water. What's wrong with her?

   It sounds as if you hamster was pregnant, but with her age she couldn't be unless she was in contact with a male. She could be just bored, my hamsters do that sometimes too. Take her to a vet for a normal check up, just to be on the safe side.
