Drinking lots....

Hi Karen,
I have a 3 month old Syrian hamster and he drinks alot. Everytime I see him up he almost always drinking from his bottle. Do hamsters tend to drink alot? If you have had a hamster did you notice it drinking alot?

Hi Sarah,

    Hamsters drinking a lot more than usual may have a slight urinary tract infection (this is why they are drinking more, to help get rid of it).
    I would suggest keeping an eye on him and check around the area where he urinates. If any blood is seen, then you should take him to the vet.
