Do hamsters have anal glands that can be expressed like dogs?

Syrian hamsters have scent glans on their flanks and dwarf hamsters have one on their belly. But they shouldn't smell at all, at least not for humans. If your hamster does smell, I would recommend seeing a vet with him to rule out any health problems.
