gerbils tail

the fur on the gerbil's tail came off and half of the skin is showing>

I think you should take this gerbil to the vets to make sure it doesn't become infected, but the chances are the gerbil should be fine, as this is something that can happen in the wild and is meant to help them escape from predators. It may affect the gerbils balance slightly, but other than that he should be ok!!!
