hamster in a bad way

hi,
cecil is 3yrs 5 months old.About 4 hours ago,i heard a squeal from his cage and found him not moving hardly at all.I spoke to a vet and they said to make him comfortable,which i have done(they were closing,cant get him up there till tomorrow).
At first i thought he wouldnt see the hour out to be honest.But i have managed to give him a bit of water,and he is moving his head around,and kicking his legs a little bit.Is there anything more i can do?
im not holding out much hope to be honest,but you never know.

asyou may know your hamster is very old, so well done for looking after him so well.

it sounds as though your hamster has either had a mild heartattack or a stroke. i hope he mananged to make it through the night and got him to the vets.

i apologize for taking so long to answer but i work night shift and didnt get ur question until i got home.

p.s. if you havent been to the vets just keep doing what you are doing, but keep handling him to a minimum.
