Gerbil with sent gland tumor

Hi

I have a gerbil that has a sent gland tumor
can he live his life in peace with this tumor
or is it wize to have it removed he is 3 years old.

Hi Erin,

External tumors can be operated on, with a certain amount of success.  The operation can be pretty expensive, however.  The gerbil should not feel any pain from the tumor.  And, since he is already 3 years old, he would probably die from natural causes before he'd die as a result of the tumor.  My best advice is to consult with your veterinarian.  Good luck.
