can we use wheat straw for the beddin?

hi Dana,

no i don't suggest using wheat straw as it can have sharp and prickly endings and may damage your hamsters pouches when they  try to hoard it, its also not dissolvable, nor is it very absorbent. do not buy fluffy bedding either as this is non dissolvable if the hamster swallows it, use paper shredded bedding, that u can buy from almost all pet stores.
