mosquitos, pooing in house

Question
Hi, I was just wondering if mosquitos are dangerous to hamsters. I must have the window open a while during the day so that the room is ventilated, and sometimes (even though i have a mosquito net) i find almost a dozen of them in the room when i come in the evening. I haven't really seen one in the cage, but i was just wondering if they could bite my hamsters and cause itching. Also I know that mosquitos carry diseases sometimes, do you think this is dangerous to my babies?
Also I have notices they sometimes poo in their house, is there anything I can do to teach them not to?

Answer
All animals are at risk if the mosquito's you are talking about have a high risk of carrying yellow-fever or malaria or any other disease and no it is not a gigantic problem it will probobly have the same effect that it does to us, gerbil or hamster will not mind much.  O' and about the poo in the cage I've recently found out you CAN potty train girbels to use a "litter bowl" its not the easyiest thing to do and requires MUCH MUCH MUCH MUCH work and time....This is what you do-Get a small unused bowl *make sure its heavey but try not medal* fill it with low dust-all natural-kitty-litter then every once in awhile spoon the "poo" into the sandy bowl and that should start to convinse them to go there.  THIS IS NOT AWHILE TRUE if it works for your Hammys though you MUST CHANGE THE LITTER EVERY 2-3 DAYS! Well hope I helped you out.
