Taking care hamsters babies

Question
My hamster gave birth of three babies first time. She seems not to care about her babies. What should I do to save their lives?
I really appreciate your help.

Answer
Do not touch the babies! She will abandon them if you do! There isn't anything you can do for newborns...the mother may be afraid, give her some time, she may go back to them...it just depends on whether or not she wants them! If you want to try,and you  are 100% sure she hasn't nursed them, you need to get some kitten formula to feed them, and a SMALL syringe, they will not eat more than a few drops...after they eat, you will need to take a damp warm washcloth, and wash them off, then dry them, keep them warm! They will need fed EVERY HOUR! Good luck, but please do not get your hopes up, it is VERY hard, almost impossible, to raise babies without the mother!
