Sad News, Please Help!!!!

Hi Joanne, it's me again, only this time I bring sad news. My sister has a hamster and this morning it was on her back wiggling all fours slowly. My sister took her out and stood her upright. She stayed still like a statue and then she would fall over and wiggle her legs again. We tried giving her water and food but she wouldn't take it. Also she won't open her eyes at all. I think she's a grey syrian or a mix of syrian. Anyway please answer this ASAP because my sister is at tears and is really sad. Thanx again and have a great day!!!! Miranda :(

hi Miranda,

this isn't looking good for this little hamster, it seems she may have been having a stroke, or going into shock.

if she hasn't passed away already, see a vet immediately.

if her symptoms start to fade away and she appears to be recovering, put her in a quiet room, where she wont be disturbed, unless to be fed and watered to a couple of days.
