Please Help!

I had two dwarf hamsters and one just died about a week ago. Now the other one wont do anything he just sleeps. He doesn't play on his wheel or anything I'm really worried. Is he dying of sadness or whats going on please help I'm really worried!

Dear Megan,
He is probably just upset that he has no one to play with him. If you play with him more, or buy him some new toys to play with, he should be okay. When i separate hamsters because they are fighting, at first they seem depressed, but after a while of having my full attention, they are fine again. I don't think that sadness could lead to death, though. Also, if hes not eating try buying new food, or treats. If he's not drinking, you can add a splash of pedilyte to his water, to flavor it a little (not to much, though)
