WHY CANT MY HAMSTER LET ME HOLD HER???????????

I got a russian dwarf hamster(female) reccently named Lainey and ever since i put her in the cage she hasent let me hold her since!!! Im younger than ten and as you could think i would SO want to hold a hamster.

Hi Lucie,

You'll have to be very gentle with her, and don't grab her suddenly.  Instead, put a treat, such as a plain Cheerio, on the palm of your hand.  Place your hand at the bottom of your hamster's cage, and wait for Lainey to come up to your hand.  Then, gently scoop her up with both hands.

Hamsters don't like to be kept still, so let your hamster run from hand to hand.  Also, nervous hamsters may jump, so always sit down on the floor while you're handling your hamster.  It will take a while for your new hamster to become used to you, so you'll have to be patient with her :)
