my dauhters hamster

My daughters hamster is a male and his private part is swollen and i dont know why  it sticks out in the back.
Please tell me why?

You daughter's Male hamster is perfectly fine.  It appears to look swollen but that is just the way it looks, that is the male's genitalia.  The size of the hamster's genitalia will change when it is too cold or too warm this is perfectly fine.  It looks quite bizarre for owners who have never had a male hamster before.  The variety of hamsters who would not have such prominent areas of the body would be the Dwarf variety, but even they have small bumps.  I hope this helps explain your concern.  Have a great day!
