should by dry tail when i buy my hamster becausee i want to be prepared and im wondering how can ur parents let u have that many hamsters im still trying to convince my mom to let me have one(still trying:() and how do get rid of a hamsters smell.??

Hi Jenny,

it is best to be prepared so you can buy it if you like, but none of my hamsters have ever had wet tail.

If they are cleaned out every week and given plenty of fresh food and water then they shouldnt really get many problems at all except when they get old of course.

I am actually married and all my hamsters are kept in a separate building so they dont really bother anyone.

I think the first thing you need to convince your mom of is that you are willing to take on the responsibility of being able to clean it out weekly, give it food and water daily, get it out two or three times a day etc.

The best way to this is to make a weekly rota with the times that you are going to do each of the above.  Also make a list of the weekly budget you are going to need and see if you can earn that money each week - but also make sure you have some money put aside for any emergencies that might occur.

Instead of trying to convince her to let you have one - try convincing her you are responsible enough to look after on.
