my 21 week old female  black bear hamster  has a over gron toe nail wht do i weus to cut  it?

Hi Stefanie,

You have a couple of options:

1. You can cut it yourself, with the help of someone else.  Hold your hamster, and let someone else cut only the tip of the toenail.  Be very careful to not cut too much, because you may cut the skin.

2. If you're not comfortable cutting the toenail yourself, your vet will cut the toenail, with only a small fee to pay.
