ok well i have two wonderful hamsters spot and spirit. They have been together for a while and spirit finally had babies. they were born today. should I take spot out and put him in his own cage and remove the wheel? They are not having any problems. He looks after the babies when she goes to eat .I just want to do the best for her and her babies?

It's fine that he's in there, but you should really take him out. The mother will be ready to have more babies shortly and you don't want more than you can handle.

You should remove the wheel from the baby cage. Don't touch the babie until they are a month old. By then you should separte them by gender.
