Question
At my school a teacher found a hamster in a ball being kicked around by a bunch of kids, so that teacher brought the hamster to my science teacher and i got to take the hamster home. The hamster seems to have 2 bight marks and a about a 1/2 a centimeter tear on his ear... i dont know what to do and i cant afford to take him to the vet becuase he isnt mine im only taking care of him....

also ive never seen a teddy bear hamster, i have a dwarf hamster, im not sure what it is but he has to like red mini hotdog shaped lmpy things that are like stuck together, i think it may be his private part but im not sure...

also can i put neosporin on te hamsters cuts

Answer
Hi Ants,

If the lumps are down by his private area (one on each side of the bottom hole), then they are more than likely is testicles.
For the bite marks/cuts on his ear, first take a washcloth with warm water (not hot) and a little anti-bacterial soap and wash the area, then apply a very small amount of neosporin. Do this once daily until it the area heals.
