Gerbal has deserted her babys!!

One of my gerbals recently gave birth and she wont go anywhere near the babys. i also have another female who has successfully reared young in the past. could i put the babies with her even though she isnt pregnant and see if she takes care of the babies.

Hello, if the other gerbil is pregnant or producing milk than you could actually try and see what happens because sometimes they will take care of other babies sometimes. If she's not producing milk than the babies wouldn't survive because they would die of starvation. I'm sorry to say but it's going to be extremely hard to take care of the babies by yourself if your other gerbil isn't producing milk.
