QuestionHi. My Siberian White(Snowflake) has begun to what sounds like chirping and clicking. At first it was only when I was playing wit her in my hands, then she started doing it all the time. Up to that point she had never done it. She did have a small fall the other night, but didn't appear to be hurt. She's still eating and drinking. I know this because she'll eat fresh carrots and she uses her toilet regularly. I can't figure this out. Should I have her see a vet or am I blowing this out of proportion? I'm tremendously worried about her. I've had the pleasure of having her since February 06. What's going on here?
AnswerApologies for the delay in responding - I've been having a few Internet problems.
Squeaking, snoring, and crying are normal sounds for a hamster - some make noises, others don't. Sometimes they make noises out of the blue. I honestly don't know what the clicking sound is. Maybe she was winded in the fall and this is what is causing these sounds.
I would advise monitoring her - see if there is any change in her behavior - if there is, I would suggest getting her examined, just in case she did injure herself when she fell.
