Mother separating four week old puppy from rest of

I have a three year old min pin. She had her second litter thanksgiving weekend. They are four weeks old. She had seven ng one did not make it. She has just started taking the smallest and putting her in a closet. She will stay with her. She is half the size if the others. She may be the chihuahua looking one. Why suddenly do this? Should I take cared of this one?

She instinctively knows that this pup needs some extra feeding and time.   What you may want to do is separate the other pups and let her keep this one to feed 24/7.   Her milk is the best for this little pup and if the pup is too small, she may not be able to compete with her siblings.
