Shih tzu Would like to know if she is pregnant?

I just got a pair of shih tzu and the lady I got them from said the female might be pregnant. I wanted to know what are the signs to look for if she is pregnant? Also the male was trying to mount her but she doesn't let him could that mean she is pregnant? Also her vulva is swollen.

If the male is trying to mount her and her vulva is swollen, that typically indicates your female is going into heat.

With a smaller dog, sometimes it's harder to tell if they are pregnant as the pups can be smaller and they tend to have smaller litters.

If her teats start coming down, and she put on weight, that would be a good indication.  Also you keep a measure of her chest and her stomach (close to her hind legs).  If she's expanding in BOTH those areas there is a good chance of pregnancy.
