1st heats

Question
I have been breeding now for 20 years and I have never come across this situation... I imported a nice Boxer bitch from Hungary, she is now 15.5 months old and has not had her first heat yet... all my years they have always come into the first heat between 10-13 months. Have you ever had this happen? I am asking everybody :)

Hi Kelli. As a matter of fact, I had a girl once that did not go into heat for the first time until she was 2 1/2 years old. And then she would only go in once a year. The vet could find nothing wrong with her, and she produced 8 pups in the first litter, 10 in the second! Congrats on your new girl!!
